2012 UCI PMB World Cup Entry Requirements
08 February 2012 – All riders who intend participating in the RockyRoads UCI MTB World Cup in Pietermaritzburg from 16 th to 18 th March, please note the following entry requirements that apply to the UCI World Cup Series:
- Entries may only be processed through your National Federation
- Entry Fees (Payable at Registration)
- R390 – XCO Juniors
- R680 – XCO Elite & U23
- R680 – DHI
International License
You are required to produce your license card at Registration.
In order to upgrade your Domestic Racing License you need to send proof of medical cover to CyclingSA offices.
Please forward a copy to tarryn [at] cyclingsa [dot] com, who will issue an International License to you free of charge.
UCI Ranking
All UCI points earned before 1 March 2011 will fall away when UCI Ranking is updated on 28 February 2012, which will be the ranking date used for the first World Cup in Pietermaritzburg. Please note 1st year U23 XCO riders your points table starts at zero.
Cross-Country
Juniors – Only National Federation Teams may be entered. These riders will be selected in accordance with the MTB Selection Criteria.
As per UCI regulations the host nation may select an A & B team (12 riders) male and female. This selected Federation Team will be announced on Monday 20 thFebruary 2012 and riders must then confirm their participation with Dellah Paul by latest 1 st March 2012.
U23/Elite – Individual riders may enter this event providing they have a minimum of 20 UCI points on 28 February 2012. A maximum of 6 riders per age category (who do not have 20 points) may be selected to participate as a Federation Team.
Selections will be done in accordance with the MTB Selection Criteria. This selected Federation Team will be announced on Monday 20 th February 2012 and riders must then confirm their participation with Dellah Paul by latest 1 st March 2012.
Downhill
Age 17 and Over – Individual riders may enter this event providing they have a minimum of 20 UCI points on 28 February 2012. A maximum of 6 riders (who do not have 20 UCI points) may be selected to participate as a Federation Team.
Selections will be done in accordance with the MTB Selection Criteria. This selected Federation Team will be announced on Monday 20 th February 2012 and riders must then confirm their participation with Dellah Paul by latest 1 st March 2012.
